Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli attended the conference organized by the Heritage Foundation during her visit to the United States of America. Participants of the forum “The Silk Road Renewed: From the Heart of Eurasia to the Heart of Europe. The 21st Century Transportation and Energy Outlook” discussed the energy security issues and security concerns related to the New Silk Road.

Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli continues her visit to the United States. On the second day of the visit Minister met with the U.S. congressmen - Mike Conaway, Mac Thornberry, Adam Smith, Jeff Miller and senators- Johnny Isakson and David Perdue. The U.S. congressmen and senators expressed interest regarding current developments talking place in Georgia and in the region in general. They thanked the Georgian side for their contribution in maintaining international security.  Bipartisan support of Congress towards Georgia`s territorial integrity, sovereignty and NATO integration was highlighted during all the meetings.

Within the frames of the visit to the United States of America, Georgia’s Defence Minister Tinatin Khidasheli met with the former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and President of the National Democratic Institute NDI Ken Wollack.

Defence Minister Tinatin Khidasheli met with the Chairman of United States Institute of Peace (USIP) Stephen Hadley and President of USIP Dr. Nancy Lindborg during her visit to the United States. The sides discussed NATO-Georgia Relations, NATO Foreign Ministerial results and future plans.

Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli met with the representatives of Jewish Organizations - National Coalition Supporting the Eurasian Jewry. Representatives of the organization paid special attention to a century-old history of friendship between the Georgian and Jewish people. The sides discussed Georgia-Israel and Georgia-USA relationship, also security environment in Georgia and in the region and Russia policy with regard to the occupied territories of Georgia.

Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli pays a visit to the United States of America. The first day of the visit was devoted to the meetings with the representatives of the NGOs and leading analytical centers. Minister of Defence of Georgia delivered a public speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In her speech Defence Minister talked about the defence reforms and progress of Georgia in democratic development.

On December 5, The Georgian Association in the USA together with the Embassy of Georgia hosted Dallas Mavericks star and Captain of the Georgian National team, Mr. Zaza Pachulia at the Embassy of Georgia in Washington. Zaza and his Dallas team played against the Washington Wizards on December 6 at the Verizon Center.

On November 17th, 2015 a swearing in ceremony was held in Washington D.C. for the USAID new Caucasus Mission Director, Mr. Douglas Ball. The Ambassador of Georgia to the United States, H. E. Archil Gegeshidze delivered a speech and congratulated Mr. Ball on his new appointment. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Department of Commerce and the Department of State as well as by the representatives of other agencies. Mr. Ball will be traveling to Georgia on November 19th of this year to assume his post as soon as possible. On November 16th, 2015 Ambassador of Georgia hosted Mr. Douglas Ball at the Embassy.

Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze highlighted results of the meetings of the U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission's (SPC) Democracy and Governance Working Group and People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges Working Group held on 12 and 13 November in Washington.  Within the framework of the Democracy and Governance Working Group, the United States commended Georgia’s implemented reforms towards the strengthening of democracy and governance,  as well as Georgia’s achievements in reforming the judiciary, law enforcement and security services, administrative and pre-trial detention, and the corrections system; Georgia’s efforts to improve the civil service, to include civil society in decision making bodies, to ensure respect for the rights of all, including members of minority populations, empowerment of women

On 12-13 November 2015, the meetings of the Democracy and People-to-People Working Groups under the U.S.-Georgia Charter on Strategic Partnership were held in Washington. Deputy Assistant Secretaries in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Bridget A. Brink and Benjamin Ziff and USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator Jonathan Katz co-chaired the meetings for the United States. The Georgian delegation included First Deputy Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, Deputy Minister of Justice Alexandre Baramidze and First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
